API Terms of Service
Below this introduction is quite a bit of important legal language. Please read it.
Inside Seatwave, we talk a lot about the importance of simplicity and transparency in our communications. So, before you read on to the important legalese, we want to share a few thoughts in simple and honest terms.
- Seatwave believes in the power of APIs to unleash the talents of developers around the globe to build new applications that extend Seatwave's utility and help build the world's most vibrant ticketing marketplace.
- We are trying to build Seatwave into not only a profitable company but also a company that shares the success with our affiliate partners and developer community. Please pay attention to ourAPI Affiliate Agreement and read it prior to completing registration for Production API access.
- Seatwave operates in a highly dynamic industry. We cannot anticipate what new technologies or developments will change "the rules of the game." We only know that change occurs, and that it occurs quickly on the Internet. So, we do expect to periodically, change API Affiliate Agreement.
- Most content on Seatwave (with the notable exception of our reviews etc..) is generated by content team at Seatwave or via partner companies. The pictures, descriptions, seat maps, 3d seat views and meta data about the items for sale (among other things) are owned by Seatwave under various contract structures. As part of this API, we are providing a sublicense to reuse this content "in the spirit of Seatwave." That is, by nature, a subjective statement, and Seatwave reserves the right to determine the fair usage — as fairly as possible and considering the concerns from our registered developers. The only word of guideline we have is when in doubt please contact us at apisupport@seatwave.com; We promise to revert back with a fair response as early as possible.
- The Website and Mobile sites, including without limitation all Content and all intellectual property rights in and to the same, is owned by or licensed to Seatwave or our third-party content providers. You must not modify, decompile, or reverse engineer any software (including, without limitation, the API) that Seatwave discloses to you, and you must not remove or modify any copyright or trademark notice, or other notice of ownership.
- Seatwave supports developers, and we want the entire community — not only buyers and sellers, but also developers — to prosper. Some developers do this for the sake of coding, some do it for fun, and some do it to make money. Coding is not much different than crafting. So, again, please read carefully the section around "commercial use." We want developers to be able to earn money to support their efforts making Seatwave applications.
- Please ensure that when you use Seatwave data or artwork in conjunction with data from any other Ticketing provider or reseller service you are not utilizing Seatwave brand, creatives or artwork to promote a competitor’s merchandize. As said earlier, when in doubt please contact us at apisupport@seatwave.com
Thank you for being part of Seatwave. If you have any questions, contact us at @seatwavelabs or apisupport@seatwave.com. We welcome you and look forward to working with you.
